Spell checking

Hi,

I want to know if someone knows a free-open-source spell checking module/routine/class function that can be easily plugged into other php projects.

there is a php extension called [man]pspell[/man], which does spell checking for you.

An extension is not what I want, I need to make sure that the spell checking routine is available at "any" PHP installation so I can't use an extension that is not bundled by default with PHP for unix and windows.

maybe you can use [man]dl[/man] to load the extension at run time - upload the .so or .dll file for pspell and run it when required.

oh and i think that most php isp's will install pspell by default, but you can never account for everyone.

Unfortunately I can't rely on uploading pspell libraries to the server, it must be a php based solution...

Maybe with the dictionary files I can code the spell checker myself, anyone knows a good source of text files with dictionaries for different languages?

what i was meaning by upload the dll is have it in your web server tree, ie where your html and php files go.

Never mind ;-) I need pure-PHP code without dlls, libs or additional non-php code. So I can make sure that the php library can be used to spell check in any php application running in any site.
