Abrupt session end

a while ago i wrote my own version of a blogger, and today i finally got around to installing php 4.2 and making the necessary changes to the script... ive gotten almost everything working except one problem:when a user logs into their account they can move around to the different pages within the account with no problem, but the second they post a message or update a message the session ends...

so basically, any form of interaction with mySQL other than reading data causes a session to end

anyone have any ideas?

$AGE variable defined in the PHP script

and now it's different, there's no $AGE
variable automaticly created.

Are you doing your own session handling (i.e. using MySQL to log session data)? If not, is there anything occuring on your system to overwrite, delete, or otherwise corrupt the session data/directory? Is this Windows? Unix?

I'm using apache on a windows system, and i just use a regular session_start(), the authentication uses mySQL

Post relevant portions of your code. I know nothing about Windows, so I may not be too helpful. I'm just wondering how, if at all possible, your session data is being corrupted.
