MySQL one more time

Hi need hlp/pointers thank you!

Goal: Store data from a form (input type="text") then show the data i an other *.php (like a gbook).

Problem: dont get the MySQL at all, I have installed EasyPHP. So according to EasyPHP both Apache and MySQL works fine. But i don understand how i make the connection to MySQL or decide where I should store the data.

Pls give som help or maybe a link to MySQL for Dummies on the net kind of thing.

but that didnt do the trick so far... perhaps cause i have both mysql installed and easyphp so basiclly i have 2 mysql servers?
