excecution time

Im trying o run this script that goes through alot of loops , big ones but Im certain none of them are infinity loops.
the problem comes after 30 sec when I get this error saying the maximum excecution time of 30 sec has been reached. Im afraid not all my queries are running becuase of this
then I tried putting this
set_time_limit(0);
to have an unlimited excecution time but now its runs forever!
please help!
how can i have this to run without error and without going forever?

hi!

it is not my intention to contradict you... but you need to have a veeeeeery BIIIG set of endlessly slow cycles to make the script take more than 30 seconds to run... i would say that there is a high probability of an endless loop somewhere, however, you may need to edit the php.ini file to extend that time limit, in case the script really takes that long to run.
