I am building a php site that will have users who buy access to certain areas. There will be areas A, B, C, and D for example. I want them to be able to buy access to whichever groups and get billed accordingly.
Now, this is the part I am new to.
First off, what is the best way to have them signup to purchase this? For instance, at one hosting company I signed up for I went through an online checkout thing at 2checkout.com and then went back to their page and signed up, and awaited confirmation.
How would I go about doing this though? The above was just an example. I basically need to have it where they buy access to different areas (A, C, D) and are able to buy other areas later (add area B to account).
Second, I will have a user database that contains all the users registration information. How do you set this up in a way that it will disable an account if someone doesn't pay? This will be managed by someone else, but I am trying to help make things as automated as possible. This is the part I am mostly confused on. How do I set it up to automatically disable an account when billing is due, and if they do pay how do I keep it from disabling them?
My partner and I were working on this all last night and still are. Creating such a system is new to us, but we are willing to learn whatever it takes.
