All right! I'm back. I was never able to get php working on a Win98 box. Now I have a Linux box and it's working, it's working!😃:

However, the first application I tried -- LinkBase -- isn't.😕

I get an error message: Unable to link to database.

LinkBase is an organization bookmarks manager. I want an app that will manage bookmarks; allow users to share bookmarks; provide search and sort features; offers URL checking. In Windows, it's called Linkman (www.outertech.com).

Okay, I'm talking to myself. I know, I know, it's a bad sign! 😃: I have yet to go postal. :eek:

Got LinkBase to work. I had failed to change the database user and password in the configuration file (per the install instructions).

Not yet able to import an existing bookmarks files. I either get a message that "Entity is too large" or "Warning: fopen("", "r") - Success in /var/www/html/LinkBase/inc/linkDbObj.class.php on line 1302
Unable to open" 😕

I like the concept; it would be nifty to manage bookmarks with a web-based database.

Any comments or suggestions?
