Deleting a Field in mySQL

More than likely this is a stupid question but I’ll ask anyway. For some reason I can't figure out how to delete a field from a table which I accidentally created without deleting the entire table. I have tried using WinMySQLAdmin, MySQLGUI 1.7.5 and php code but with my knowledge, none were successful. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you mean to drop a column from the table, you can use an ALTER command for that:

ALTER TABLE tablename DROP COLUMN columnname
