config mail local

hi all,
I have a problem when send mail. pls help me. i want to send mail, but it error: Warning: Failed to Connect in e:\php-program\amc\html\sendmail.php on line 41

I think i must be config file php.ini, but i don't know. Pls help me.

We need more info. Like the part of the script that isn't working.

But just a tip, do you have an SMTP server installed on your machine? Or have PHP configured to use some other SMTP server? If you don't, that's your problem.

Take a look at php.ini for the line SMTP=something. If its localhost, you probably don't have an SMTP server installed. Try changing it to the mail server you use to send email.

i open file php.ini, i search "SMTP" but it don't, why? i use triadPHP and winXP

but it error: failed connect server??
