How to Records In specific table By selecting catogory from Combobox

and i want my record in will be store in that category ..which i will select from combo....

                       My msn [email][e-mail][/email]

If you're using a select like this:
<select Category>
<otpion>Cartoons
<otpion>Films
<otpion>Telefilms
</select>

$Category has stored the category chosen by users after submission...

Quevas...I'm Italian but I use english so everybody will understand....

I am crating a .htm form that uses the select to enter data to the correct table....in order to use the variable should I change it in .php or is there something more complex to do ???
