Weird file upload behavior

Changed this post because uploading seems to be ok now.

The problem I'm facing is that the text file I want to process has spaces between every letter. This is only visible when I open it in UEdit and view HEX. IE, this text:

[System Summary]

is actually:

.[. S.y.s.t.e.m. .I.n.f.o.r.m.a.t.i.o.n.].

In HEX view the dots are represented by 00.

How can I replace these with nothing in PHP?

This did the trick:

foreach ($datalines as $key => $dd){
		$datalines[$key] = str_replace("\x00", "", $dd);
	}
