I need some help about this item: I must prepare bi-lingual dictionary with IT terms(MySQL, Apache) and I have some ideas about it but not sure are they worthy. So, I think I need these:
1. a table with the words & their descriptions in the first language. Its primary key will be reference with the second table
2. a table with the words & their descriptions in the second language
3. a table for external links with primary keys from table1 & table2
4. table categories (hardware, software, DB, etc and apply-application-application programs - I mean hiearchy. I am not sure how to make it.

I think you should group entries by concepts, so you would need only one table.

This table must contain some kind of indetifier, description in language A, and description in language B. Then, you could add some more information, like definitions, grammatical structure, context, reference source, domain, ...

If you take a look to most used translation databases (such as Trados MultiTerm), you'll see they use only one table.
