Saving File Problem

Hey,

Sorry if this is really simple but:]

I have a several files that need to be updated every couple of days.
When i want to edit them i get a form with the file displayed in a TEXTAREA, then i make the changes, but when the file save it puts a \ in front of all the speach marks in the HTML tags.

Could someone plase tell me how to stop this from happening.
