hi guys, i'm fairly new to php and a complete newb to mysql, guess thats why i'm here. now i know what i'm about to ask is very simple, but i can't find a straightforward answer as of yet. my computer teacher has asked me to make him a Postcard system (like bluemountain.com) and i told him i would do it for him. i have the basic layout and here's the run down...please bare with me:
1)user selects image through radio button and enters the information
2)they either hit submit, which will then need to randomly generate a link and output it to them or they will hit preview and it will show them the page with all the info and image
3)for each person that creates a card, information such as To: From: Message, etc will need to be stored in a table.
4)all that will then need to be outputed and then a random link generated

i need to know how to create a table from within php, store all that information in the table, then output it, etc etc
i'm starting to learn about query's whcih are just strings of data right? any input and suggestions on possibly a better way to go about this would be appreciated
