i have two tables, training, and training_master.
training_master
ID - Event Name - Tutor - Price
1 - Learn to Play Pool - Jim Bob - 15000
in the training table, we have thus
training
ID - TrainingMasterID - Time - Date - Location
1 - 1 - 19:00 - 21/11/02 - Northampton
2 - 1 - 19:00 - 22/11/02 - Wellingborough
ok thats enough background....
heres what i have to do, i want to select all the training records, link it with the training_master table (to retreive the name and price), and spit out the results in a dropdown box
i have not the time to re-write the tables, or the time to re-write how the whole thing works.....
the problem lies here :
SELECT * FROM training a, training_master b WHERE a.ID = b.ID
when i then retreive the value for ID.... which one am i retreiving!??!?! i want to retreive the id for the training table... i cant change the field name (again, too much other hassle intwined with it)...
can i use an 'AS' statement somewhere in here? syntax sil vous plait.. cause i cant get the feckin thing working
