Ibm Db ?

Does PHP have DB2 specific functions support (i.e. ifx_connect, mysql_connect, and so on)? I looked in the extensions directory and it looks like it doesn’t have specific support. I have also seen some post stating that you use odbc_connect to connect and others odbc functions to interact with IBM’s DB2 db…. Thanks for any input….

One last note… I am using PHP 4.2.3

I only could find this information:

If php is compiled with option
--with-ibm-db2[=DIR]
IBM DB2 support is included. DIR is the DB2 base install directory, defaults to /home/db2inst1/sqllib.

But I couldn't find further informations about ibm_db2_functions() 😕
