How do i connect to external database

question: how do i connect to an external database?

Write the Server IP instead of "localhost" and make sure you have an account/authorization to connect to the database.

I had this problem posted about before when i was trying to connect to Lycos' database and I wasn't able to solve the problem, but I remember that one solution I was suggested was to write the IP instead of localhost...

You may also wanna try a search with the argument because it has been discussed many times before and maybe you can find a better solution.
