Hello all... having a bit of a problem compiling 4.2.3... I configured with:
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
then when i 'make' i get:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient
my installation of mysql is indeed in /usr/local/mysql... all of the headers files exist in /usr/local/mysql/include
so I don't think my installation of mysql is lacking... i tried search for this (stfw like a good developer) but couldn't find anything to help solve this
