Displaying an image

Hi,

I'm new to PHP, and I've created a page using includes ( like this: http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10209003 ) with the urls index.php?page=news or index.php?page=lyrics etc but I was just wondering how do make it insert an image onto the page called news.jpg or lyrics.jpg depending on whatever is after 'page'?

I have tried stuff like <img src="<? $page ?>.jpg"> but it's just not happening!

Sorry if this makes no sense.

Have I just got to put that or something else before/after it?
