PHP to HTML

I am having a php file. I need the output of the php, same like when executed in the browser.

But what i need is

content.php

<?
$name="viper";
echo "The name of the teacher is".$name;
?>

but i need the o/p as "The name of the teacher is paddy. But i am getting it in browser.

But without using the browser, it should somehow execute. please let me know

are you trying to set a var that says, "hi my name is viper" but you dont want it sent to the browser??
