telnet in php

im using a php-driven site to show information about a game server.
its a pvpgn server if u kno wat hat is, emulates battle.net.
i can telnet into localhost port 6112(bnet port) and type /con to see whos online and stuff, but how can i do this from php to get a list of online users.
basically i need to login to localhost:6112 thru telnet and perform 2 commands
/con
/quit
maybe no even /quit 😛
finding it hard tho 🙂
