news system feature (I guess)

Been searching for a solution but unable to find one (yet).

Now I use a system for newsposts (dating/timestamp) in the following manner:

#3 November 18, 2002 - 16.00
#2 November 17, 2002 - 16.57
#1 November 17, 2002 - 14.18

I wonder how I can change this into something like:

November 18, 2002
- 16.00
(news)

November 17, 2002
- 16.57
(news)

• 14.18
  (news)

Oh and I also want the database to clear itself (as I enter the admin page) when a month has passed since the oldest post. So the table only stores one month of posts.

well make a remote script for the month thing...

try something like this..

$todays_month=date("m");
$check=$todays_month+1;

call the database news im pressuming...

if($check > $date)
{
//delete 
}
else
{
//leave alone
}[/php[

now i didnt test that.. i doubt it even works.. but thats something that youd need to do..
