So what are the web sites that you enjoy/admire/draw inspiration from? PHP or otherwise... and what do you like about them?

I guess nobody else is as bored as me then.
This may sound cheesy, but I really admire Amazon's website. We also run an ecommerce website, and we have gotten some great ideas from them. It is really a challenge for them to offer such a diverse spread of products and still allow such great navigation throughout the site.
I'll admit, their upselling is a little much at times, but it can be helpful I guess to some people. Their images are always there, their shopping cart always works, their searches are always functional. It is an amazing site.
I guess that's why they get the "big bucks" LOL.
Just my .02

Where to start...
I look to different sites for inspiration at different times...I'm usually impressed by sites that help me spark new creative thoughts or that remind me of design principles I can incorporate with whatever project I'm working on at the time. Since I'm in the visual design phase of a project right now I'm thinking of visual examples rather than functional or informational ones. So here are some sites that have caught my eye over the past couple weeks:
http://www.joshuadavis.com/ (click different projects)
http://www.goarmy.com/
he, would say my own.. i enjoy , but it sucks so much i don't dare to post it in here
.
i generaly like every site with content, and no banners
ow yes and google..(if that counts) my favourite search engine site
The Joshua Davis stuff is some of the most impressive flash work I've seen. Very cool.
And Google...Google is where I go when I click the little house on my browser's toolbar... Google is pretty much the most useful site ever made. Even the ads are useful. Having no Google would be like having no arms.
Agreed on the Google thing!
I installed the Google Toolbar so I have it at my fingertips whenever I need it! Most awesome. Definitely a plug for "Simple is Good."

Indeed google bar owns (play with cached page display)
Ok, I admit- I'm resurrecting this old post because I had a change of heart.. I fear I must take back half the nice things I said about Amazon's website.
There is not ONE PHONE NUMBER listed on the entire site, if you have questions or problems with an order. I mean, I see their point- nobody wants to talk all day to idiots who can't order online, but actual human contact would have been nice.

Hmm - i always get lost on amazon - although that might just be the UK site. I hadn't realised id paid for something once, and was expecting to put my payment details in, and it already had them. Mindreaders!
