Do references always persist from one page to the next in a session?

i.e., if I do
$r =& $s;

will the serialization preserve $r and $s so that $r always point to $s in the next page?

I have a nasty bug in my program and it seems that my references get all screwed up when going from one page to the next. Thanks for your help!

i dont think that will unless its a hidden input which has a form and keeps going to the next page.. But i thought this was a sessions problem...

Sessions go from one page to the other so you must always keep saying

session_start(); but if a session is registered we wont need it registered again so we need to check if its registered against the session name...

im sure reading more in the manual about sessions will help you more
