how do i set a base url for a php page so that all the file locations are refenced from a specified starting point?

you need edit the include_path directive in your php.ini file
if you cannot do that... it can be overridden on a page per page basis with [man]ini_get[/man] and [man]ini_set[/man]
um i'm not sure thats what i was tlking about, i'm looking for something that will behave like the html tag "BASE"
