secure PHP installation for Win 2000 ?

hi all,

i have to set up a Win2000 server with PHP (e.g. Apache+mod_php) for a class of students. every student has his/her own sub-directory in apache/htdocs, where they can upload PHP code to experiment with.

However how can i inhibit bad code (e.g. deleting hard disk, etc.) ??

• can i set Windows/PHP configuaration so that certain commandos are not available / forbidden for the users?

any help/comment would be deeply appreciated!

Hi,

have a look at the disable_functions- and the safe_mode-directive in the php.ini-file.
