What IS GD ?

Hi All,

I am setting up a Forum, and i have been told that my Hosting provider doesnt support GD....what IS GD??

And will it be a major hassle to get them to install it??

LOL Gd is the set of functions that allows php to actually draw its own images. Personally I never used it yet.

It seems like i cant do any picture based uploads to my forum, beacuse i dont have GD installed... 🙁

Do you think it will be a major hassle to ask my Hosting Providor to set it up??? I just want to go to them armed with 'some' knowledge about what im asking for 😉
