session variables not working! driving me nuts

Ok,
i've used sessions before and I am using sessions on this new web site im working on. I use sessions for logging in and they work fine, but now I am trying to use them in another bit of code and they aren't working. It seems that they aren't being set. I tried doing the exact same thing as I did before where they are working, but it still doesnt work. I tried $_SESSION["id"] = $id. And yes I use session_start(); But I can't get that variable to register. I believe I am using 4.3.x, but I can't verify that right now as I don't have access to the machine from this location. Oh and I am not using the variables in a function. Hopefully someone has a suggestion.

I'm taking a shot in the dark here, as it's been a while since I've had any problems with sessions.... but...

are you setting the initial session variables in a function? If memory serves me correctly, it shouldn't matter, but it also seems I once had some problems that were function related.

Again... it's a shot in the dark.

Also, you may want to post some of your code that's troubling you, as it makes it much easier to help! 🙂

Nothing is inside a function. I am using version 4.2.3 of PHP
It doesnt seem to be registering the variables!

In file1.php :

session_start();

$SESSION["curBid"] = $curBid;
$SESSOIN["id"] = $id;

In file2.php

session_start();

print("curBid: $curBid, id: $id");

print("curBid: $curBid, id: $id");

Don't you mean:

session_start();
print("curBid: ".$_SESSION['curBid'].", id: ".$_SESSION['id']);

Or did I miss something?
