Just wondering is it possible to, quickly and efficiently, remove all strange characters submitted via a form
eg if some fills out a textbox with any of these characters
!"£$%&*()_+}{[]@~#';:/?.>,<|¬, but also any of these
õ ö ÷ ø ù ú û ü ý þ ÿ à á â ã ä å æ ç è é ê ë ì í î ï ð ñ ò ó ô Í Î Ï
would I be better of using str_replace or preg_replace
