sort directory list with opendir()? (not mysql)

Hello,

I've got a "little" problem, I use opendir() and readdir() to display all the directories on my linux box (so mysql sort functions can not be used), but is it possible to sort all the directories alphabetically?

I don't know if it can be done, but it would be very nice...

Hi,

yes you can do that.

Read normally the directory with opendir() and readir().

Put each return value from readdir() in an array.

Then use the sort() function to sort that array.
