PHP , mssql and IIS

hi everybody

Ive got a site that I developed using PHP triad. I now need to migrate this onto a 2000 NT server, using SQL 2000 and IIS 5.

My site works perfectly on mysql, apache in a Linux enviroment, but when I change my site, connection varialbles and settings to the microsoft domain...my page comes up blank, no errors, nothing.....just a blank page.:eek:

Is there a setting that I need to change in the php.ini or something? Should I go through a direct connection to mssql or rather go through a ODBC😕

Does anybody out there, know if a document on the net that can help with the configuration of the Server to accept MS SQL quering through PHP.

Ive unchecked my extension=php_mssql.dll and loaded my ntwdblib.dll into the system32 root folder. is there anything else I need to do in my php.ini to get it working?

you have to install the sql server client utilities on the php computer. then you have to setup an alias using the client network utility in the sql server tools on the php machine.

use that alias in your php for the hostname in your connect script.
