Methods of learning PHP

I bought a book "Core PHP Programming" by Leon Atkinson, I would like to know some good methods to learn PHP. For now i read a chapter then i write some scripts based on what i learned, i cannot really incorporate MYSQL things into my pratice because i do not have a host and a MYSQL account. Does anyone know any good methods to learn PHP &| any good/cheap hosts that I could use.

If your using windows there's a great installation tool called PHP Triad on cnet.com.

It will install apache, PHP, Perl, mySql, and PHPmySql Admin.

Simple.

It makes it so easy to learn PHP, no uploading stuff to a server till its ready etc.

As i was too lazy to configure my own set up. I to have PHP Triad.. Its good to get you going quickly.. But i soon will do my reading up. And try and do the configuring myself So i know what its exactly capable of the site im constructing....

Now about Hosts....

Hmm.. Not sure on free ones.. But i once did some research on paid hosting.. But i guess it wouldnt be good now its almost 1yr old.... + i also have no idea where i put it..

My best bet would be Coolfree Pages but not sure if they support PHP n Mysql.. If they do go with them otherwise your best get is Paid Hosting..
