mail(); funtion.

For some reason our mail(); function won't work.

(this is just a test not using vars I setup)

mail("test@email.com","Petcube.com Test","Did you get it?","From: support@petcube.com");

Dunno.. looks right to me.

a). Its your server.
b). I've decided to take a vacation from this type of question.
c). I've heard of this recently it may be php4.
d). Just forget about the mail(); funtion (as you spelled it in the forum topic) and buy a mule to deliver your mail.

Do you have sendmail installed? aAre you getting an error?

you have to configure it in your php.ini file..?

make sure it shows something like this

[mail function]
SMTP=your mail server
sendmail_from=your email address

or the equivalent for unix

Ok after speaking with our support guy he took down our site and ran some test, with the responce of "sorry don't know whats wrong".. Now I know there is a solution to this problem. Here is the config for the php.ini file. were using a unix and apache.

; For Unix only. You may supply arguments as well (default: "sendmail -t -i").

sendmail_path = "sendmail_path="/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i -OQueueDirectory=/var/spool/mqueue/"

I read another post from someone else about relaying denied for a possible cause, and I'm looking into that. Does anyone have any other type solutions?
