I am working on a php chat room and I am trying to make it reload and everytime it reloads internet explorer has a wave file that clicks is there a way to disable that when people are in the chat room

It may be a cool exercise, but a server side scripting language isn't really meant to be used in a chat 🙂. As for the click - you'd have to delete the file, or replace it with a silent sound byte.

I made a FTP program before and the status/error field would reload. I wasnt sure of how to do it at first, but i ended up going with an IFRAME and it worked out nicely. The click disapears too. You might try put your whole script in a frame, but i am not sure if this will work.
