Images not showing up

I have created a php script in wich it calls different layouts through .tpl files. The problem I am having is that the images are not showing up. I have checked the paths and they are correct. When I upload it to the server the images don't show up. There is no red x saying its a bad link they just don't show.....is it the fact that I need to put the entire path?

If I use <img src="body.gif"> It works but I want to use <background="../pictures/body.gif"> and this doesnt show the picture?

Am I doing something wrong?

Right there you're using two different paths. It's impotant to remember the path to the pics relative to the document calling them.

It'd help if you posted your code, too.🙂
