Lookup and Edit MYSQL

Does anyone know how or where I can find a code that will let me lookup a record in a SQL database, and let me edit just one field.
I need something to let my boss go in and edit the prices on our product database by looking up the record by 'ITEMNUM' then it will display feilds of choice and only the price field is editable, then click submit and he's done.
Any help is appreciated 🙂

Virtually any program that uses a database will have something of this sort in it. Send a SELECT query to the database to get the data, display it, get any changes, and then UPDATE.

I'm looking for a php file that is idiot proof, I need to find something my boss can type the item number then it opens to a form where he can change the price and click submit.
I can you the SQL quaries but I don't want him near my phpadmin, thats why I need a simple php file.

Well, it's a pretty trivial task.

SELECT stuff from database.
Display it in form. Make only editable bits editable - leave the rest as plain text.
Form gets submitted.
Process the result, UPDATING as appropriate.

Which bit is causing you the problems?
