I currently have some projects coming up that require web developers. The jobs will involve both modifying existing code and developing new code as the specific needs require. Skills required include a good knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and HTML. A very good understanding of database design will be essential. The code developed will be run on Apache and/or Zeus web servers on Linux OS. Knowledge of mail systems is a plus as there will be a need to integrate with some mail services.
The work will be project based with reasonably detailed specifications. Work can be done remotely (even evenings and weekends), but my preference would be UK-based people; but not essential. Rate earned will depend upon experience. I prefer project rates to daily rates, thereby allowing people to decide how and when they work. An ability to reasonably estimate the time required (and live with the estimate) is required.

Work is required to begin in about two weeks time with projects delivering in 4-6 weeks from start date. This will require more than one person to complete (that also means the contractors must be able to work with other people on the same project).
