I thought thanksgiven was the US name for christmas ?? obviously not as christmas is still many weeks away.

Note that I didn't look up your latitude/longitude, but the Canadians also celebrate in a similar fashion, somewhat earlier....I think maybe October...

Thanksgiving is basically a day where we stop and take a minute to give thanks for all the wonderful things we are blessed with in our lives... and it's also a good excuse to get with your families, watch some football, eat way too much turkey and stuffing, and sleep away the afternoon 🙂

Unless you're a vegetarian like me, then you just eat way too much pumpkin pie 😃
