Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to extract information from the URL of page?
For example, of this page the url is "http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/newthread.php?s=&action=newthread&forumid=2"
Say, I had a PHP program on this page, could I extract that forumid=2?

if you know the variables being displayed then try $_GET[]

Yup, if that information was passed to your script through the url, then $_GET['forumid'] would equal 2.
But it comes down to.. If he knows what the url has.. If he doesnt then $_GET wont help him too much.. Otherwise its a good thing to use
