I have been using dbase format databases for my Web site since they use only a single file, but now I am realizing that it was not such a good idea.
99% of all Web hosts out there do not have the extension for this enabled, and I cannot use them.
Is there another format that is similar to dbase that I could use instead (one that there is no extension, or will most likely already be enabled)? Preferably I want it to only use one file to store information and maybe have file locking.
