I recently downloaded phpMyadmin / MySQkl, php and apache all as package.....

test page works fine...great...........

here's the prob.
can anyone help me out to create a online poll for a website i am doing just a simple one,

I tried the folowing (has screen shots)

Unless you are fimilar with these things..

time();
cookie();
mysql (update)
mysql (select)
Polls are out of your league.

I did make a basic one though

You must think of it as a application.
You want people to vote.
Then the vote goes towards the specific result
they are then sent straight back
results are shown

You will most likely want them to not be able to vote.
A Cookie is good here. In that cookies use a time();
setcookie(name,there stuff,time());
change the time() to what ever i did 1 day. It works good.

time()+606024

that should get 1day.

Just read those up in the manual and you should be ok other than that.

I have 2 settings for my poll..

I did one that only allowed max of 3votes
and a new one which i have 2.

The new one you can choose how many. You may want 10, 2 5. Theres A max of 10 Answers to the Question.

From there you can jam it into 1table or spread them over 2 or 3tables.

but if you make them relational(Spread over in other tables)Something must make them relate. Eg. pid would be good.
