This is just a quick question to all of you out there ... does anyone know how it is possible to send message to a mobile through a website?
website to SMS
Some mobile phone companies (that accept text messaging) allow you to set up an e-mail address for people without phones (or access to phones that can send text messages) to send you a text message.
So, all you'd need to do, if your phone supports this, is set that up and then create a PHP script to send an e-mail to that address.
If your phone does not support text messaging through e-mail, then are far as I know, what you want cannot be done.

well dont tell me if im wrong.. I most likely am.
You could try WAP. Yes its associated with Phones, So it might work. You'll need to learn it first. Before you can understand if it will work or not. I think Devarticles, Webmonkey and a few i cant think of have some tuts on it. To let you know if its possible
Ok, I won't tell you you're wrong But it has got nothing to do with wap...
What you need, is an smsc connection. There are several ways to do this and it's hugely dependent on which mobile operator you're going to use and to which countries you are planning to send messages.
Usually the messaging costs money, and you need to set up an account with some operator in order to send messages from a web site.
I've developed a straight web -> sms connectivity kit for our company. If you are building something 'real', and not just for kicks, do contact me straight, and I'll tell you how to move forward and give you some pricing info. It's not expensive, but it ain't free either...
