Match Against - Anyway to allow words 3 characters or less?

I am using the Match Against function explained here: http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Fulltext_Search.html

It works great, except that it ignores words 3 characters or less. I really need it to NOT ignore words that are 3 characters. In many cases 3 character words are going to make a HUGE difference in the kind of searches being done.

Is it possible to allow 3 character word searches?

I just noticed this text from the URL I listed above:

MySQL uses a very simple parser to split text into words. A word'' is any sequence of characters consisting of letters, digits, `'', and `_'. Anyword'' that is present in the stopword list or is just too short (3 characters or less) is ignored.

I really hope there is some way to change it to 2 characters or less 🙂
