Top PHP message board app?

Looking for the most recommended PHP app for message boards. I have found a lot out ther, but don't know which is the best??

-UBB.threads?
-PHPBB?
-Ikonboard?

Anybody have a clue?

I've never made a board myself, but phpBB and this board (vBulletin) look to be very full featured, supported, and regularly enhanced. (They are also the most common ones I see.)

Forums are hard to make. And Time consuming(Maybe thats why thee hard). Well ive made one. There hard to test to. You need a team to make it easier to test. They also must be on a network unless your working online.(Just to make it easier to say a cookie is stored etc)

Ok. I dont suggest making one. Until you really feel confident at PHP..

The best free 1 i reckon is PHPBB unless your wanting to pay. Then VBulletin is you go.

Vbulletin i think is by far the best. But i guess you pay for what you get.

Sorry planetsim, I will have to disagree with you there. While vBulletin may be very feature-enhanced, PHPBB ranks right up there with it. And it's free. Plus, PHP is a MUCH better scripting language than ASP, and it too is quite free. Sometimes you pay and get screwed. You don't always get what you pay for.
