Apache acting wierd.

I have Apache runing on a Linux Redhat 7.3 box, but recently It has started to act wierd.
When I open http://localhost I get a index of the files on the box, and not the index.php site showing up like it used to do.
I do a /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd testconfig
And it says that everything is ok, and I have added index.php to a files to search for in apacheconf. and the root dir is /var/www/html which contains a index.php.....

So I am kinda lost, and the wierd thing is that it was acting fine until yesterday, and I spent most of this night trying to figure it out.

How did you define the DirectoryIndex directive?
