files to mysql

can sb. tell me how can I save files to mysql or direct me to some tutorial....

and then retrive them back

What do you precisely want to do ?
You know it's very rarely a good idea to save a file in ad DB, you'd better save its name (and why not the path)

well,
i'd like to built MySql db where everyone could get login and password and have instant access to his (only one file .doc or .pdf).
Currently I work as an assistant at the University in Lublin. I am responisible for organization of conferences. As you probably know It is preaty hard work (YOU HAVE TO COLLECT ACTUAL DATA AND ARTICLES FROM PARTICIPANTS), some peole write to you threw e-mail, some go to you privately and some send it via normal post ....and finaly you have to join it together and that is why I would like to change it.
When I have MySQL these peope contact with me only via DB not even e-mail . Theu can input their data and articles (files) which they can switch whenever they want ...(and people always want to change sth.)
The second aspect I would like to publish these articles via internet. And if you search for Mr X Y you can it will show you his article.
And now, will you help me
