Saving $_POST[''] vars between browser refreshes?

If using a form to submit data via a POST and then use $POST to retrieve that value how do you ensure that variable is saved? Asking as after submitting a form $POST['var_name'] displays correct variable, but when when you hit the refresh button on your Internet Browser the value is lost.

Example Code:

// Assume HTML form post uses variable "user"
// On first load of PHP displays correctly

echo $_POST['user'];

If you hit the refresh button on your browser after first load no result is returned.

Hmm, it works fine when I refresh a PHP script that has form data posted to it, IE pops up a message asking if it's ok to send the form data again. Does it not do that for you?

Sorry about this post, I am testing with multiple browsers IE, Mozilla (on Win Platform), Netscape (on Win Platform), and KDE Konquerer....it seems that Konquerer is the only one that has issues. For some reason it doesn't save the form variables.

Hmm..how is it that I always find these things!
