Hi all. I'm fairly new to UNIX, i've only been working with it one year, so this thing i want to do is abit ahead me :-)
I have my site (http://www.flipis.net), a spanish-language programming-only site, running on RedHat, Apache and PHP 4.0.6
What i want to know is this: Are there any steps to "uninstall" a previous version of PHP and then "reinstall" the new one (in this case, unistall 4.0.6 and reinstall 4.2.3)
Is there an easy way to do it? I've been reading manuals on the subject, but i don't really get the point, and i don't want to screw up anything, see :-)
Any help is greatly appreciated. As is said, i'm trying to learn more Linux/UNIX, as i come from Windows, and i can't figure out how to make this on my system via telanet, wich is the way i communicate with the server.
