Global Variables

Hey was wonder if any had a n00bs guide to using Global variables, i`ve searched everywhere but cant seem to find a straight forward guide on using them.

That's because you shouldn't use global variables, they are evil :rolleyes:

Consider passing variables as parameters to a function instead of using global variables.

Try...

function moo()
{
	echo 'This is a ' . $GLOBALS['foo'] . ' variable!';
}
$foo = 'global';

moo();

The output is: This is a global variable!

Personally, I've never used 'em.
It's all about parameters and return values.

I agree with the others; avoid them whenever you can. I can think of certain limited situations where they might be appropriate, but they're rare enough that there's no justification for making them trivially easy to use. But for full details, they're in the manual.
