Overwriting?

Hi. I want to "writeover" a field in a table. Rather than going in depth into my program I'll use the example of a clock. If you made an online clock you'd want it to appear to be flowing from one minute to the next not printing a line below each time the time changed...
5:06
5:07
5:08

So in this example (or any other) how would I overwrite the 5:07, 5:08, etc. onto the 5:06 line?
