appended variables... wierd situation

i'm a intermediate programmer with significant experience in the computer field.

I'm running Apache 1.3.27, PHP 4.1.2 (the problem is currently present on the newer version as well).

I'm also running 7 virtual domains within apache.

When i run any url which appends a variable (blahblah.php?var=9) from the primary host (localhost) it works fine, not a problem... When i run any other url which apprends a variable, no matter the circumstance... it does nothing. Has no effect, no matter how simple or complex it is blank...

I tried to narrow it down to the virtual domains, nothing.

Has anyone seen this before?

And this is stupid: could the fact that i'm using DreamWeaver MX anything to do with it???

please send full examples of working and nonworking urls and how they are called, for example:

sounds like this works...

<a href=blahblah.php?var=123>click here</a>

sounds like this (?) doesn't work?

<a href=htttp://www.myotherhost.com/blahblah.php?var=123>click here</a>

Is that what you are saying?
